DCU's Mister Miracle show currently aimed for 2028 with 30-minute episodes

The upcoming Mister Miracle series for the new DC Universe has a tentative release window and an episode runtime, according to details shared by a DC Studios boss.

In an interview with Collider reported by ScreenRant, co-CEO Peter Safran gave an update on the live-action TV show. While he clarified the date isn't officially set, he indicated the team has long thought of the project as a 2028 release.

Safran also stated that the series is "very advanced," revealing that the creative team has already seen animatics for the entire first season. Animatics are essentially moving storyboards used to plan sequences before full animation or filming.

Each episode of the Mister Miracle show will run for about 30 minutes, per Safran's confirmation in the interview. The series is based on the DC Comics superhero Mister Miracle, also known as Scott Free, who is a master escape artist.
