Diablo 4 Hotfix Drops Unpopular Mythic Restriction After Fan Backlash
Blizzard has walked back Diablo 4's most hated Season 14 change. PC Gamer reports the studio's surprise July 16 patch has essentially undone the big swings of the Season of Death Awakening that infuriated players.
The controversial restriction that allowed players to equip only one crafted Mythic item at once has been completely removed. GameSpot adds that the patch also significantly increased the drop rates for both Mythic and Iconic Mythic gear.
Acknowledging the fan revolt, Blizzard reportedly noted in the patch notes that "not every idea lands exactly as intended." The fix is live on PC and is slated to hit consoles on July 17.
