Disco Elysium Studio ZA/UM Axes 32 Staff Months After Game Launch
The Disco Elysium studio is hitting a sour note. Developer ZA/UM announced it will lay off up to 32 staff members, per reports from IGN, Eurogamer, and Kotaku.
The cuts come just two months after the studio released its latest game, Zero Parades: For Dead Spies. According to social media posts and various outlets, the game reportedly didn't sell well enough to prevent the job losses.
ZA/UM, which has been embroiled in public and legal controversies since the smash hit Disco Elysium, said the layoffs affect roles "across all departments." It's a major hit to a studio still struggling to recapture its former glory.
