Disney promotes Melissa Stone to lead studio publicity across all major brands

Variety reports that Melissa Stone has been elevated to senior VP of publicity for Walt Disney Studios.

In her new role, she will oversee the publicity team and PR strategy for the studio's entire theatrical slate, including Disney Live Action, Animation, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and 20th Century. She will also handle publicity for Disney+ series.

Stone will report directly to studio president Martha Morrison.
