Doom: The Dark Ages DLC getting endless 'Slaughter Mode' next month

Doom: The Dark Ages players are getting a new way to slay demons for free.

Developer id Software announced a free update coming to the game's Revelations DLC next month, per IGN. The update will add an endless single-player mode called Slaughter Mode.

The mode was detailed during the Slayers Club Live livestream with game director Hugo Martin. According to the outlet, Slaughter Mode will have players fighting through escalating waves of demons across multiple arenas. Players can earn cosmetics and chase their personal best scores.

No specific launch date was given, but the update is slated to arrive sometime next month.
