Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra game reveals new blue-haired Goku

A new transformation for Goku has officially been shown off, per ScreenRant. The reveal comes via a mobile game, Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra, in a video posted by Bandai Namco.
The footage features the character in what's called Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan form, recognizable by his blue hair. This upgraded variant, often shortened to Super Saiyan God SS, follows a more powerful path than his standard red-haired god form.
The new character is part of the game's Season 7 update, which marks its one-year anniversary. It joins other recent additions like Super Gogeta and a similar powered-up Vegeta. Players can currently log in to access the event, and the game is running a social media promotion that rewards participation with special in-game currency capsules.
ScreenRant notes the addition was expected, as the game frequently adds strong versions of Goku and recently released the equivalent form for Vegeta. This version is another damage-focused fighter, not a defensive one.
The update is notable as the final season before a major gameplay overhaul. Season 8, due later this year, will switch to a third-person view, a change that has reportedly upset some of the current player base.
