Dragon Quest XI S file size balloons for Switch 2 launch

Square Enix is gearing up to port Dragon Quest XI S to the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 this September, per Nintendo Life. New details about the release are starting to hit the eShop.

One key stat? The estimated game file size is listed as a hefty 23.4 GB. That's a significant jump from the original Switch version's 14 GB footprint.

The bigger size suggests the role-playing game could be packing some visual or performance upgrades for the next-gen hardware, though specifics haven't been confirmed. Fans can prepare their storage cards accordingly.
