Elder Scrolls 6 hit by Xbox layoffs, staff fear major delays
The fallout from Microsoft's mass layoffs is hitting The Elder Scrolls 6 hard. According to IGN, multiple Bethesda staffers warn the cuts will have a "substantial and cascading effect" on the long-awaited fantasy RPG.
Eurogamer reports that "key" people have been let go, sending morale at the studio into a nosedive. Rock Paper Shotgun adds that developers, already running a tight ship, now worry the project could become a longer and more painful process.
With the game already deep in development, the loss of experienced staff is raising serious concerns about its timeline and quality.
