Elizabeth Holmes doc scores massive $15M opening, Street Fighter takes top spot

A documentary about convicted fraudster Elizabeth Holmes pulled off a stunning box office performance this weekend. According to Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, 'You Can See Everything' earned $15 million from just 855 theaters.
That massive haul was good enough for second place overall, per the outlets. The film, directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim for A24, reportedly sold out over 2,000 screenings across the country.
The Hollywood Reporter states the documentary's per-screen average was a huge $17,544. It marks the biggest opening for a film in under 1,000 locations in nearly twenty years.
Topping the chart was the new 'Street Fighter' movie. TheWrap reports the video game adaptation from Paramount and Legendary opened to $31 million domestically and another $20.1 million internationally for a $51 million global start.
Other newcomers had a tougher time. The survival thriller 'Whalefall' debuted to an estimated $8 million, which TheWrap characterized as a weak performance. Meanwhile, last week's horror winner 'Other Mommy' fell sharply to around $8.3 million.
