Elizabeth Holmes Gets Emotional Watching Amanda Seyfried's The Dropout in New Doc

Elizabeth Holmes had a visceral reaction to seeing herself portrayed on screen, per a report from /Film. In the new documentary "You Can See Everything," director Nathan Fielder shows the incarcerated Theranos founder clips of Amanda Seyfried's Emmy-winning Hulu series "The Dropout."
Holmes, who had never seen the show, watched alongside her partner Billy Evans. She chuckled at a fictionalized scene where Seyfried dances in front of a Steve Jobs poster, confirming it never happened.
Her demeanor shifted during a scene depicting her relationship with former Theranos president Sunny Balwani. The tension escalated to a moment where Seyfried's Holmes yells at a character portraying Larry Ellison. The real Holmes became upset and said she could not continue watching.
Later in the documentary, Fielder uses actor Amanda Seyfried to reenact a prison visit with Holmes, since recording wasn't allowed. In this staged segment, Holmes claims a guard treated her poorly after watching "The Dropout."
The performance includes an emotional breakdown where Holmes criticizes the series for presenting an inaccurate portrayal that she feels fueled public animosity. Both Holmes and Evans assert the show's character is an exaggerated fiction, a claim that contrasts with the extensive fraud trial evidence.
