EU poised to greenlight Saudi fund's purchase of EA
A major gaming acquisition might be moving forward. According to a report by VGC, the European Union is set to approve the Saudi Public Investment Fund's bid to acquire Electronic Arts.
The deal would put one of the world's largest video game publishers under the control of Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund. No official confirmation has been given yet.
If approved, the move would mark a significant shift in the gaming landscape, placing franchises like Madden and Apex Legends under new ownership.
