Ewan McGregor Pitches Obi-Wan Ideas: A Yoda Quest or Romance With Hera Syndulla
Ewan McGregor is actively pitching ideas for another Obi-Wan Kenobi project, per Variety. The actor revealed he's already shared his concepts with Lucasfilm boss Dave Filoni.
One potential story would see Kenobi searching for Master Yoda after the events of the 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' Disney+ series. McGregor told Variety, "I think there could be a story there where I'm trying to reach out to him."
Another idea involves a romance with the character Hera Syndulla, played by McGregor's wife, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, in the 'Ahsoka' series. McGregor said he thought, "maybe this is the big love story - Obi-Wan and Hera," though he acknowledged the characters exist in different time frames.
Whether Lucasfilm moves forward with any new Kenobi project remains unclear. Filoni recently told Variety that 'The Hunt for Ben Solo' movie was not in the works. However, McGregor reiterated his enthusiasm, stating he enjoyed the series and "would be happy to do it again."
The actor also discussed his recent move back to Scotland, saying he's been enjoying the ability to spontaneously visit family on his Vespa.
