Fable Director Happy With 2027 Delay, Cites 'Chaotic Window'
The developer behind the upcoming Fable reboot is reportedly thrilled about its new launch date. According to GameSpot, the game was originally slated for this year but has been pushed to February 2027.
In an interview with IGN, the game's director Ralph Fulton said he feels "great" about the timing. He explained that moving the launch to 2027 helps the game avoid what he called a "chaotic window" in its original late 2026 timeframe.
Fulton reportedly told IGN that the reason for the delay "is pretty apparent." While he didn't name any specific titles, GameSpot's coverage suggests the move is a clear attempt to steer clear of another major game's release.
Fable is a high-profile fantasy RPG being developed by Playground Games for Xbox. The delay means fans will have to wait several more years to return to Albion.
