Fallout Gets Its Own Pinball Machine With V.A.T.S. Launcher and Show Footage
Stern Pinball has announced a new machine based on the Fallout franchise. The Pro, Premium, and Limited Edition models are available now, priced from $7,299 to $13,999, according to IGN.
The machine lets players choose from three characters: Lucy MacLean, The Ghoul, or Maximus. A working Pip-Boy replica on the table displays game information and can be used to hack terminals. JoBlo reports the playfield is packed with franchise icons like Vault Boy, Power Armor, and Nuka-Cola.
Key mechanical features include a Fat Man ball launcher that uses a V.A.T.S.-inspired targeting system and a Nuka-Cola bottle cap that physically moves up and down. Other elements are a Deathclaw toy and a lower playfield Vault that uses magnetic flippers.
Players can increase their character's attributes to a maximum level, unlocking special modes for each hero. Progress can be saved between games using Stern's online system. The company says the machine integrates footage from the TV show's first two seasons and audio from actor Johnny Pemberton.
