Fast & Furious live-action TV series gets green light at Peacock

Peacock has officially ordered a new live-action scripted series based on the Fast & Furious franchise, per Variety. The streamer is targeting a 2028 premiere for the project.

The series was first teased as being in development during NBCUniversal's upfront presentation in May. Franchise star Vin Diesel, who is an executive producer, announced the news at that event.

Mike Daniels and Wolfe Coleman are on board as co-showrunners and executive producers, and they also penned the pilot script. Other executive producers include Sam Vincent, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Chris Morgan, according to the outlet.

Universal Television is the studio behind the production. TheWrap notes that plot details and any potential involvement from the film series' characters remain unknown.

The series launch is planned to align with the next theatrical film, Fast Forever, which is scheduled to hit theaters on March 17, 2028.
