Final Fantasy 14 Mobile cancelled globally after China shutdown
The mobile version of Final Fantasy 14 is officially a no-go for the rest of the world. According to VGC, the project's global launch has been scrapped.
This follows news that the mobile client is being shut down in China, its only operational market. The move signals a full retreat from Square Enix's plans to bring the popular MMO to phones worldwide.
No reasons for the cancellation were provided by the outlet. For now, players will have to stick to their PCs and consoles to adventure in Eorzea.
