Final Fantasy 7 Revelation adds hot springs for health boosts and bathing suit skins

A new hot springs feature is coming to Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, per IGN. The latest gameplay footage shows the party taking a break to soak, which permanently increases their maximum health.

The scenes also unlock new character outfits. Players can earn skins based on the bathing suits worn in the hot springs. Footage shared online shows Cloud, Barret, and Cid in their new resort wear.

Director Naoki Hamaguchi said the hot springs offer unique character moments. He confirmed the outfits featured in these events can be unlocked as skins for use elsewhere in the game. Red XIII joins in, but his look doesn't change much, while Vincent Valentine apparently prefers to bathe in his usual attire.

The hot springs feature was shown during a presentation at SDCC Málaga. Square Enix has been steadily revealing new details about the game ahead of its 2027 launch.

Final Fantasy 7 Revelation is scheduled to arrive on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, and the Nintendo Switch 2 on April 8, 2027.
