First Look at Tekken 8's Yujiro Hanma Shows Uncanny Anime Fighter
Bandai Namco has debuted the first glimpse of Tekken 8's upcoming DLC fighter Yujiro Hanma, and fans are already buzzing. IGN reports the character, from the series Baki the Grappler, appears in a brief teaser at the end of a new trailer shown at Evo France 2026.
The short clip shows just a few shots of the villain, highlighting his iconic toothy smile and bulging, muscular physique. The new render has been described as "uncanny," which many fans anticipated given the character's exaggerated, expressive appearance from his anime source material.
While the kangaroo fighter Roger Jr. gets the spotlight in the full trailer and is set for an early access launch on November 11, Yujiro's release date remains a mystery. According to IGN, the tease promises a full trailer for Yujiro will premiere during the Tekken World Tour Finals on January 17, 2027.
The outlet speculates that a release date announcement will likely come around that time, following the typical pattern of a few months between DLC character launches. Roger Jr.'s full release is scheduled for November 16.
Both Yujiro and Roger Jr. are part of the game's Season 3 pass, which is currently priced at $34.99. They will complete the pass's roster of four bonus characters.
