Five Nights at Freddy's animatronics invade Fortnite for Fortnitemares
Epic Games has confirmed the long rumored crossover, per Eurogamer. The Fazbear crew is officially joining Fortnite for this year's Fortnitemares Halloween event.
A new trailer reveals Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria will be a new location on the battle royale map. The animatronic band members Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy will appear as bosses for players to fight.
Epic announced the event with the tagline, "It's almost showtime!" The company teased that players must "face the animatronic animal bosses and survive the night." Fortnitemares 2026 is set to begin on October 1.
Signs of the crossover had been building for months. The pizzeria location appeared on the island during the Override season, and recent Halloween events included security cameras and dialogue referencing the horror game series.
The report also notes Epic Games recently settled a court case against a former contractor accused of leaking Fortnite information.
