Fortnite's new season parodies Mario Kart and Mortal Kombat, but no Sony heroes
Fortnite's next season is a wild, 32-bit tribute to gaming legends, according to new reveals. The 'Overdrive' season, launching August 20, will include parodies of famous franchises like Mario Kart and Mortal Kombat, plus the official arrival of Sonic the Hedgehog.
IGN reports the character roster is themed around legendary video games, with plenty of playful, legally distinct takes on classic icons. However, fans of PlayStation's stars will be left out.
Push Square confirms that despite past collaborations, no Sony characters like Kratos or Aloy will feature in the 'Override' season. The platform holder is sitting this particular gaming celebration out.
