Forza Horizon 6 PS5 Port Slips to January 2027, Leaker Claims

A reliable industry leaker has pinned down a potential release date for Forza Horizon 6's long-awaited PlayStation 5 port, per reports from IGN, Kotaku, and Push Square.

The leaker, known as billbil-kun and reporting via French site Dealabs, claims the open-world racer will finally launch on PS5 on January 26, 2027. This contradicts a previous statement from developer Playground Games, which had insisted the port was still on track for a 2026 release.

The report also states the PS5 version will receive a physical disc release alongside its digital counterpart, despite Sony's broader move away from physical media. The price is expected to align with the Xbox version, reportedly costing around $69.99, or €69.99/£59.99 in Europe.

This alleged delay follows a public back-and-forth last month. The Verge's Tom Warren first claimed he did not expect to see the game on PS5 in 2026, a statement Playground later refuted in an official post, encouraging players to wishlist the title on the PlayStation Store.

Playground Games has recently faced criticism from its community over post-launch support for the Xbox and PC version, which launched in May 2026. The studio issued a statement this week acknowledging the feedback and promising to improve communication.

Neither Microsoft nor Playground Games has officially commented on the new report, which also suggests an official announcement and pre-order opening could happen this week.
