Friday the 13th prequel Crystal Lake is 'gory' and 'gross' says star
The upcoming Friday the 13th prequel series sounds like it's bringing the buckets of blood. Crystal Lake star Linda Cardellini is teasing the Peacock show, and it's not for the faint of heart.
Per Variety, Cardellini described the series as "gory" and "gross" with "blood everywhere." She plays Pamela Voorhees, the mother of Jason and the original killer from the 1980 slasher film.
The series, premiering October 15, will follow Pamela's life before the events of the first movie. It aims to dig into the origins of Camp Crystal Lake's most infamous resident.
