Gal Gadot auditioned for Fury Road Furiosa with Tom Hiddleston
Gal Gadot has revealed she once spent hours auditioning to be Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road, per JoBlo. The actress told the Happy Sad Confused podcast she did a four-hour match test in London with Tom Hiddleston, who was also reading for a role.
Gadot described the intensive session with director George Miller, saying she started the cold day bundled up but was down to a tank top by the end. She came away feeling good about her performance and thought she had a real shot at the part, praising Hiddleston's work.
Of course, the roles ultimately went to Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy. Gadot learned during the same podcast chat that Jeremy Renner also went through the casting process, and it was previously known Michael Fassbender had auditioned.
In a separate conversation with JoBlo, Gadot also addressed her future as Wonder Woman. She expressed frustration with how Warner Bros. handled the DC transition, citing Henry Cavill and Patty Jenkins. When asked if she'd return as the character, Gadot said, "If Zack comes back to run DC, I'll come back."
