Gal Gadot confirms she's done as Wonder Woman, hasn't heard from DC
Gal Gadot has officially closed the book on her time as Wonder Woman. In an interview with ScreenRant, the actress confirmed she has had no talks with DC Studios about returning to the role or taking on a new one.
"I haven't heard anything," Gadot said, per the outlet. She offered well-wishes to whoever portrays the hero next, stating she is "grateful" for her own opportunity to play the character.
Her comments solidify what has been expected since James Gunn and Peter Safran took over DC Studios and initiated a full reboot. Several actors from the old DC Extended Universe, like Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, have already moved on.
Gunn is currently developing the new DC Universe, starting with next summer's "Superman." Casting speculation has already begun, with Adria Arjona joining that film and rumors swirling she could be the new Wonder Woman. A script for a new Wonder Woman movie is reportedly in the works.
Gadot first played Wonder Woman in 2016's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and led the 2017 solo film. Her run concluded with 2020's "Wonder Woman 1984" and the "Justice League" films.
