Game Freak's Beast of Reincarnation could finally escape Pokemon's shadow
Game Freak is trying something completely different with its upcoming action-RPG, Beast of Reincarnation. According to IGN, the game is a major departure from the studio's long-running Pokemon formula.
The outlet got an early hands-on with the title, calling it "awesome" in a final preview. The gameplay and style are said to be a huge shift for the development team.
If the preview is any indication, this could be the studio's best shot at establishing a major new IP outside of its iconic monster-collecting series.
