Ghost of Yotei's roguelike mode gets a 27-minute gameplay showcase
VGC has dropped nearly half an hour of footage from Ghost of Yotei's new roguelike add-on, called Most Wanted.
The mode, part of the upcoming Complete Edition and Echoes of Sekigahara expansion, tasks players with surviving successive enemy encounters culminating in a boss fight against one of the story's primary villains.
According to VGC's hands-on, it's a run-based experience where you earn currency to buy upgrades and even select different heroes. The roster includes Jin Sakai, the star of the first Ghost of Tsushima, who becomes available after investing in other characters' progression.
The outlet reports that the mode resets your power, stripping away end-game abilities and forcing you to rebuild Atsu's strength from scratch. They describe it as a tough but addictive challenge designed to deliver that 'one more run' feeling.
Both the Most Wanted mode and the Echoes of Sekigahara story expansion launch on October 1. They are available as a $14.99 DLC pack for existing owners, or as part of a new $69.99 Complete Edition.
