Glen Powell Blames Paramount Cuts for His Film's Poor Box Office

Glen Powell has a theory for why his recent film didn't run to the bank. The actor pointed a finger at Paramount, which distributed the movie, in a recent interview.
Powell told Esquire that the studio "let go of an entire marketing department a month before ['The Running Man'] came out in the middle of a merger." He suggested this move hampered the film's promotional push and its financial results, per The Hollywood Reporter.
In the same profile, Powell declared he has no interest in political talk. He stated that such discussions are divisive and that he finds the current discourse unhealthy.
He added that while he respects people who fight for their beliefs, his own calling is elsewhere. Powell's comments echo similar sentiments from his 'Anyone But You' co-star Sydney Sweeney, who also recently said she avoids politics.
