Gremlins 3 delayed nearly a year, gets first teaser clip
Warner Bros. has pushed back the release of the untitled third Gremlins movie by nearly a year, according to reports from Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. The film is now set to spook theaters on October 6, 2028, abandoning its previous November 19, 2027, slot.
A short teaser was released alongside the new date, as noted by ScreenRant. The clip reportedly features a Gremlin hidden inside a backpack, making noise and uttering a single "Uh-oh."
Chris Columbus, who wrote the original 1984 film, is directing this new installment. The script is being penned by Hannah Marks, working from an earlier draft by Columbus, Zach Lipovsky, and Adam Stein.
Steven Spielberg is executive producing with Eleanor Columbus. Producers include Kristie Macosko Krieger and Holly Bario for Amblin, alongside Michael Barnathan and Mark Radcliffe.
In a related move, Warner Bros. also delayed the DC animated feature "Dynamic Duo," per The Hollywood Reporter. That film, focusing on Robins Dick Grayson and Jason Todd, is now slated for September 22, 2028.
