Gromit's Silent Era Ends as Martin Freeman Narrates Dog's Audiobook Memoir

One of animation's most famously silent stars is finally getting a voice. Per Variety, Martin Freeman has been cast to narrate the audiobook edition of an upcoming autobiography by Gromit.
The beloved, wordless canine from Aardman Animation's "Wallace & Gromit" franchise has never spoken on screen. But in this new format, his inner monologue will be voiced by the actor known for roles in "Sherlock" and "The Hobbit."
The autobiography is described as Gromit's first. The project marks a new chapter for the character created by Nick Park, who has communicated only through expressive sighs and eye rolls across numerous stop-motion adventures.
No release date for the autobiography or its audiobook was provided in the report.
