GTA 6 leaker floods net with footage as Netflix preps official first look
Rockstar Games is in hot pursuit of a leaker who appears to have a working, playable build of Grand Theft Auto VI, according to a report from Push Square. New gameplay footage from the highly anticipated title has been appearing online daily, reportedly sourced from a recent and functional version of the PS5 game.
The leaks come just days before the game's planned official reveal. That first extended look is scheduled to debut exclusively on Netflix next week. The streaming service attempted to hype the upcoming broadcast with a social media post asking, "How many days until GTA 6: An Extended Look?"
The post was quickly flooded with memes from fans who have already been watching leaked clips. One popular reply read, "Bro, we got an extended look all week."
Push Square notes that Rockstar is making a major effort to identify and catch the source of the leaks. Despite the unauthorized previews, the outlet suggests the official Netflix presentation will still be a significant event for fans eager to see the game presented properly.
In an update to its reporting, Push Square states the leaker has provided evidence proving they have the game in some form.
