GTA 6 Leaker Released from Secure Hospital, Awaits Retrial
The hacker responsible for the massive Grand Theft Auto 6 leak in 2022 is now out of indefinite detention, IGN reports. Arion Kurtaj, identified by PC Gamer as a member of the Lapsus$ group, was previously held in a secure hospital but has now been moved to prison ahead of a new trial.
His hack famously revealed details of the upcoming game over a year before Rockstar officially announced it. The legal saga continues as Kurtaj awaits his retrial.
The reports confirm he was originally given an indefinite sentence in 2023, reportedly due to persistent hacking activity, and has now been transferred from the medical facility.
