GTA 6 Online Could Face An Uphill Battle, Says Valve Vet
A veteran Valve developer thinks Rockstar might have a tough time getting players to leave the old for the new.
According to GameSpot, the developer noted that Grand Theft Auto 6's online component could struggle to pull players away from the decade-old but still massively popular GTA Online.
The biggest unanswered question around GTA 6, per the report, is how Rockstar will handle the online mode. The company has so far only talked up the single-player experience, staying silent on multiplayer plans.
The Valve veteran suggested that the sheer staying power of the current GTA Online, which remains consistently popular, presents a unique challenge for its successor.
