GTA 6 Preorder Numbers Are Unprecedented, But Take-Two Won't Reveal Them
Grand Theft Auto 6 preorders are reportedly shattering expectations, but Rockstar's parent company is keeping the actual numbers a secret. According to IGN, fans are snapping up the $100 Ultimate Edition more than the standard version of the highly anticipated game.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick told Bloomberg, via a GameSpot report, that the demand is "unprecedented" and has "vastly" surpassed internal targets. However, he expressed skepticism about what the numbers truly mean for the game's ultimate success.
Because of this, Zelnick said the company will not be sharing the preorder figures, as they could be "misleading." He admitted he is unsure if the massive pre-launch demand "means anything" in the long run.
