Halo co-creator Jason Jones launches new multimedia studio Stone Kite

IGN reports that Jason Jones, a co-founder of Bungie and a key figure behind Halo and Destiny, has unveiled a new creative venture. The studio is called Stone Kite and will operate in multiple entertainment formats.
Its debut project is a comic book titled One Zero One. Per IGN, it's a four-part limited series adapted from a manuscript written by Jones. The story involves a looming conflict between humanity and an army of renegade AI robots. The first digital issue is currently available.
Stone Kite is run alongside Margaret Stohl, a longtime Bungie alum who now serves as CEO. In a statement, Stohl said the studio aims to break down barriers between different storytelling mediums by assembling creators from various fields from the start of a project.
"I've spent my whole life making games, but I've always wanted to write," Jones said in the announcement. He credited Stohl with encouraging him to develop his manuscript into a larger project.
The formation of Stone Kite follows Jones's departure from Bungie earlier this year, which was part of broader layoffs at the Sony-owned studio.
