Hidden Heroes adds Darren Criss as Jiminy Cricket, Sherry Cola as Yzma
The Disney Channel and Disney+ movie "Hidden Heroes: A Descendants Story" is filling out its roster of iconic characters. According to reports from Variety and TVLine, the latest casting wave brings six new actors into the fold.
Darren Criss, known for "American Crime Story," will be taking on the role of the conscience-ridden Jiminy Cricket from "Pinocchio." Meanwhile, Sherry Cola of "Joy Ride" fame is set to play the villainous Yzma from "The Emperor's New Groove."
The other new additions include actors stepping into the roles of Kronk and Genie, among other beloved Disney figures. The film continues the Descendants franchise's tradition of reimagining classic characters for a new generation.
