Hulu orders new drama 'Durango' starring Kathryn Newton, Cooper Hoffman

Hulu is officially moving forward with a new drama series called "Durango," per The Hollywood Reporter. The show, which received a pilot order earlier this year, has now been picked up to series.

The story follows Mikey, a ski bum played by Cooper Hoffman, and Bunny, a runaway waitress played by Kathryn Newton. The pair are described as falling in love while making a string of poor choices and evading various pursuers.

The ensemble cast also includes Merritt Wever and Mason Gooding as local detectives, as well as Abbey Lee as Mikey's wife, Irina. Eliza Clark, who wrote the pilot, will be the showrunner.

The series is being produced by 20th Television in partnership with Media Res. Executive producers include Clark, Michael Ellenberg, Christina Malach, and Chris Storer, among others. Jesse Peretz directed the pilot episode.
