id Software reportedly pitched Perfect Dark revival and John Wick game before layoffs
Before being hit by Microsoft's recent layoffs, the team behind Doom was allegedly brainstorming its next big move. Rock Paper Shotgun reports that id Software was tossing around ideas for a new Perfect Dark game and an original title inspired by John Wick's 'gun fu' action.
These pitches were said to be in the conceptual stage for after the studio finished Doom: The Dark Ages' DLC. The report claims a multiplayer demonslaying game was also on the table.
It’s a glimpse at the creative pipeline cut short by the mass job cuts at the studio. Whether any of these projects survive in some form remains unknown.
