Insomniac's Wolverine Is Fully Playable on Disc and Brings Post-Launch Content
Marvel's Wolverine is shaping up to be a ferocious and cinematic linear action game from the studio behind Spider-Man, per IGN. Insomniac has confirmed the game will be 'fully playable' on disc at launch, a feature Eurogamer notes is becoming rare on PlayStation.
The developer also revealed key gameplay details. Sabretooth will reportedly act like a 'real jerk' by stealing Wolverine's kills during team-up moments, and Logan's suit will have a self-healing feature, according to IGN. The X-Men will not appear in the story, a creative choice explained by the team.
For replay value, Insomniac says the game will include New Game Plus available from day one, among other features to keep players engaged after the credits roll. Early hands-on previews, including one from VGC, describe the experience as destructive and promising, though some found it a little predictable.
