Jack Reynor and Lily James lead horror thriller 'Seasons' from Amazon MGM
Jack Reynor is set to star opposite Lily James in the horror feature "Seasons," The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reveals. Drew Hancock, who directed "Companion," will helm the project for Amazon MGM Studios.
Production is scheduled to kick off in September with filming taking place in Ireland. Hancock also wrote the script, adapting a book by Matt and Harrison Query.
The film's story originated as a short story by Matt Query that was first posted on Reddit. It follows a husband and wife who purchase their dream ranch, only to find the land is inhabited by ancient spirits. Their survival depends on performing increasingly disturbing rituals with each changing season.
Reynor will portray the husband, with James playing the wife, per the report. The project is backed by major horror production companies 21 Laps, Blumhouse Atomic Monster, and 12:01 Films.
Producers include Shawn Levy and Dan Levine for 21 Laps, Jason Blum and Michael Clear for Blumhouse Atomic Monster, and Scott Glassgold for 12:01 Films. Dan Cohen is also producing.
