This vague reply comes nearly a year after the second season concluded. ScreenRant notes that Gunn had previously indicated another installment wasn't in development, making this new hint surprising.
The second season finale left John Cena's Christopher Smith in a bind. He was captured by the agency A.R.G.U.S. and sent through a portal to another dimension called Salvation, setting up potential future stories.
