Jennifer Lawrence says she'll never do heavy prosthetics like Mystique again

Jennifer Lawrence is done with the blue body paint. The actor, who played Mystique in four "X-Men" movies, told Allure magazine she has no plans to ever return to the physically demanding role.
When asked if she would consider heavy prosthetic work again, Lawrence's answer was direct: "Never say never, but absolutely fucking not," per Variety. She cited the cold, ticklish airbrushing process and the mental toll of reaching her "breaking point."
Lawrence explained that the eight-hour makeup sessions for her first film, "X-Men: First Class," were particularly grueling. "Imagine two tiny, cold, compressing air brushes all over your body," she recalled in a separate interview on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast. "I am a hero. No one will understand what I went through."
Her favorite part of the role was the stunt work and training, she told Allure. Her least favorite part, however, was "most certainly the paint." She also noted that the hair dye process for her initial screen test permanently damaged her hair.
