Joe Manganiello's memoir details scrapped Affleck Batman film plot

Joe Manganiello has pulled back the cape on Ben Affleck's canceled Batman movie. In his new memoir "Bloodlines," the actor slated to play Deathstroke reveals the would-be film's story, per a report from Polygon.
The project, which Affleck was set to direct and star in during the 2010s, would have featured Batgirl. Manganiello claims the movie's first act would have Deathstroke nearly kill Batman and Batgirl in a fight, with the heroes escaping by train.
The entire film was reportedly building to a major showdown, with the final fight between Batman and Deathstroke taking inspiration from the CG trailer for the video game "Batman: Arkham Origins." Manganiello was officially cast in the role, but Affleck later stepped down as director for personal reasons, killing the project.
Manganiello's Deathstroke would only appear in both versions of "Justice League." In a recent interview, the actor said he would be open to playing the villain again.
Warner Bros. eventually moved on, producing "The Batman" with Robert Pattinson instead.
