Josh Goldstine lands huge Skydance marketing role overseeing Warner Bros and Paramount

Josh Goldstine is set for a major new position at Skydance, according to a Variety report. Sources told the outlet he will take on marketing and distribution duties for all theatrical films from Warner Bros., Paramount Pictures, and future Skydance labels.
Per Variety, Goldstine recently met with several Warner Bros. executives. The meeting included Dana Nussbaum, Christian Davin, and John Stanford from the marketing team, along with Jeff Goldstein, who leads global theatrical distribution. All four are expected to report directly to Goldstine in the new corporate structure.
Warner Bros. Pictures and Paramount representatives did not comment on the news.
Goldstine moved to Paramount in late 2025, taking the top worldwide marketing and distribution job. He answered to studio heads Josh Greenstein and Dana Goldberg after David Ellison bought the company. Before that, he held the same title at Warner Bros. until his departure in early 2025.
His firing from Warner Bros. in January 2025 was sudden, ordered by then-motion picture bosses Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy. It capped a difficult year for the studio, which saw both major flops and hits.
The hire comes just after Ellison finalized his purchase of Warner Bros. He recently outlined his leadership team, confirming key roles for Ynon Kreiz, George Cheeks, Casey Bloys, and JB Perrette, while Greenstein and Goldberg will lead the combined film group.
