Julie Andrews Turns Down 'Princess Diaries 3', Says She's Retired From On-Screen Acting
Don't expect Julie Andrews to grace the screen as Queen Clarisse ever again. The iconic actor has confirmed she turned down an offer to appear in 'The Princess Diaries 3', according to Variety.
Speaking to InStyle magazine, the 90-year-old legend said she believes she is retired from on-screen acting. 'They asked me all last year' about returning, she explained, but she declined the role.
This means Anne Hathaway's Queen Mia will not be reuniting with her royal grandmother in the long-awaited sequel, as reported by ScreenRant. The project aims to follow the 2001 original and its 2004 follow-up.
