Kathleen Turner Responds After Michael Douglas Confesses Decades-Old Affair

A spicy revelation from Michael Douglas's upcoming memoir has finally prompted a response from his former co-star. The Hollywood Reporter details that Douglas, in an excerpt from 'One Helluva Ride,' wrote that he and Kathleen Turner became intimately involved while filming the 1984 adventure 'Romancing the Stone.'

Per the report, Douglas stated he and his then-wife Diandra were separated at the time and both were having affairs. He claimed a powerful connection with Turner led to a secret romance, which they vehemently denied for decades to protect his family.

Turner issued a brief statement in response to the news. She dismissed the uproar over the four-decade-old secret, calling it a fuss. The actress expressed affection for Douglas and said she anticipates reading his book.

Douglas wrote that even their director, Bob Zemeckis, and co-star Danny DeVito were unaware of the relationship. He described it as a deep, natural connection born from the intense pressure and mutual respect of the production.

The affair reportedly ended after Diandra visited the set and confronted Turner, clarifying that she and Douglas were still married. Douglas wrote that this intervention caused Turner to step back, and he subsequently reconciled with his wife.
