Katy Mixon Joins Abbott Elementary Season 6 as Feisty Guest Star
A new face is causing trouble in the halls of Abbott Elementary. According to TVLine, Katy Mixon is set for a guest spot in the show's sixth season.
A fresh trailer reveals Mixon's character, decked out in a pink tracksuit, immediately butting heads with Melissa. She strolls into Melissa's classroom and declares, "That is my chair." Melissa attempts to assert her seniority, but Mixon's character fires back with a hair flip of her own, stating, "I'm not going anywhere."
The comedy returns to ABC next week, with its new season premiering on Wednesday night. The trailer also shows Gregory struggling in his new job as assistant principal, Ava confronting the superintendent on a golf course, and the welcome return of Janine's ex, Tariq.
Producers told TVLine that the school will be more crowded this season after district closures, and that Gregory's serious approach as assistant principal will clash with Ava's more relaxed style. They remained tight-lipped, however, on whether Gregory will propose to Janine.
