Kaylee Hottle, the Deaf actress who played Jia in the recent Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, has died in a car accident, per Variety. She was 18 years old.
Her father, Joshua Hottle, confirmed the tragic news in a Facebook livestream and to TMZ, according to reports. TheWrap and /Film also reported on her passing.
Hottle was a standout in the MonsterVerse films, portraying the character Jia who communicates with the Titans. Her performance brought a unique and heartfelt dimension to the blockbuster franchise.
