Keanu Reeves in talks for James Wan's remake of The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil

Keanu Reeves could be teaming up with director James Wan for a new action flick. According to Variety, Reeves is in negotiations to star in Paramount's English-language reimagining of the 2019 Korean film "The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil."

James Wan is set to direct, marking his first feature film since 2023's "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom." The original Korean movie followed a police officer and a gangster who form an uneasy alliance to hunt a serial killer.

Don Lee, who starred in the original, is attached to return for this version, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. A sprawling group of producers is involved, including Wan, Jason Blum, Sylvester Stallone, and Lorenzo di Bonaventura.

The script's latest draft comes from Eric Pearson, based on earlier work by Shay Hatten and Brian Helgeland. Collider speculates that Reeves would likely take on the cop role, given the actor's history of heroic parts.

Paramount has the project in development. Reeves will next be heard voicing Shadow in "Sonic the Hedgehog 4," scheduled for release in March 2027.
