Kelly Clarkson closes her talk show with golden vocals and family on stage

Kelly Clarkson closes her talk show with golden vocals and family on stage

Per TVLine, Kelly Clarkson ended her seven-year daytime talk show on Monday with a music-heavy final episode filmed in June. She performed a special "Kelly By Request" set, singing hits like "Since U Been Gone," "Stronger," and her personal favorite to perform live, "Didn't I."

The finale also featured the TV debut of Clarkson's new single, "I'd Be Lyin'." The standout moment, however, was her cover of the song "Golden" from the Netflix film "KPop Demon Hunters." The outlet reports the performance is already going viral.

Clarkson's children, River Rose and Remington Alexander, joined her on stage. She shared her pride, noting her daughter was in kindergarten when the show began and is now heading to middle school, and that her son previously made a singing debut on the show.

In her final remarks to viewers, Clarkson offered advice she credited to a therapist. She said that while life is unpredictable, people can choose not to engage with negativity. She expressed immense gratitude to her crew, guests, and the audience for the seven-season run.

As previously announced, Clarkson is ending the show to focus more on her family. She stated she will continue making music, performing, and may appear on shows like "The Voice."
