Kena sequel Scars of Kosmora delayed to 2027 for extra polish

The next adventure for Kena is going to take a little longer to arrive. Developer Ember Lab has announced a delay for Kena: Scars of Kosmora, the sequel to the 2021 action-adventure game Kena: Bridge of Spirits.

Originally slated for a release later this year, the game is now targeting a 2027 launch. According to a PlayStation Blog post from Ember Lab COO Josh Grier and writer Thomas Varga, the team needs more time to ensure the game meets their quality goals.

Per VGC, the developers stated they want to "deliver a top-notch game that exceeds the quality we achieved with our 2021 debut." They explained that pushing the release gives them the ability to "really polish the expanded game experience" they aim to provide.

The game was first revealed during a PlayStation State of Play event in February. It is planned for release on PS5 and PC.

No further details or a more specific release window within 2027 were provided in the announcement.
